Following in the footsteps of Web legend Craig Shergold , 7-year-old leukemia patient Shane Bernier of Lancaster, Ontario is the subject of an email chain letter soliciting birthday cards in hopes of securing him a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records. Though Guinness retired the category of "most get well cards received" in 1991 after Shergold, who had brain cancer at the time, managed to collect 30 million of them in just two years, it has been reported that a new category is being considered to give Shane Bernier a shot at his own title.
